Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has welcomed news that two projects in his constituency are among the latest in Wales set to benefit from National Lottery funding.
As part of the announcements from the Awards for All small grants programme, a total of £130,886 will be shared across 36 projects in Wales, including ‘Heart of’, based in Colwyn Bay and Llys Erw Residents Association in Ruthin.
Darren said:
“I am delighted that projects in Denbighshire and Conwy are to benefit from this latest round of funding.
“Heart Of, based in Colwyn Bay, will construct a willow hut for local community use and also enhance a natural play area den for local children. This grant for £4,728 will fund a hut making course, berry plants, vegetable and wildflower seeds, natural play items, storage, plug plants, basic craft materials, sessional worker, office materials, gardening tools and resources.
“Llys Erw Residents Association has been awarded £4,207 to update and improve the facilities for their residents. The money will fund an orthopaedic sofa, 4 orthopaedic chairs, computer desk, sideboards and chest of drawers, cushions, throws and tablecloths.”
