Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has commended Kinmel Bay based specialist structural steelwork business, EvadX Ltd, following a recent visit to the company.
In recent years, the family-run company, who are located on Tir Llwyd Enterprise Park, have invested heavily in the latest state of the art design and manufacturing technology and have recently been awarded several high profile contracts, including Surf Snowdonia and Rhyl High School.
Darren said:
“The company’s forward thinking approach and commitment to continual improvement, has enabled them to design, manufacture and erect some of the most prestigious and challenging steelwork projects in the UK, including Hafod Eryri (The Snowdon Summit Building), which sits at an altitude of 3,560ft, in one of the most inhospitable locations in the country.
“My visit provided the family run company, the opportunity to showcase their state of the art facilities and provide me with an overview of their specialist operations, and introduce their skilled workforce of 55 - the majority of which are from the local area.
“Building links with the local community is an important part of the firm’s core values, as they have been based in the locality for over 30 years expanding their facilities as the company grew and earning its place as one of the leading Steelwork contractors in the UK.”
During the visit, Managing Director Simon Adams, and sister Operations Director, Bethan Griffin, showed Darren EvadX’s latest investment, the Voortman V630 drilling line along with a VB1050 band saw, which is set to further increase production as part of their current investment plan.
