Commenting on yesterday’s report that the Assembly Government has sanctioned a worker’s 10-month trip to Australia to learn how to promote waste recycling, Shadow Environment Minister and Clwyd West AM Darren Millar said:
“It is ironic that an individual responsible for waste awareness in Wales is being allowed to waste public money in this way. “I am astonished taxpayers will be funding such a prolonged placement. No doubt this is going to be a very expensive venture.
“The timing of this could not be worse for Wales - especially given the waste crisis the country is facing and the row which has broken out between the Assembly Government and Whitehall on environmental protection and waste management
