With Debt Awareness Week taking place this week, Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar is calling on his constituents to ensure they are taking advantage of free help and support available from a North Wales money advice service.
Antioch Money Advice in Colwyn Bay is part of a network of over 100 advice centres affiliated to Community Money Advice.
Each year these centres help thousands of people escape the plight of debt by providing free, unconditional, fully confidential advice and practical support to people of all walks of life.
Darren said:
“Those that are having problems paying their household bills do not need to suffer in silence. There is much advice and support out there including that provided by Antioch in Colwyn Bay.
“All Antioch’s advisors are fully trained and offer face-to-face support. They can negotiate with creditors and will assess your situation and suggest the best course of action.
“Keeping on top of winter bills and managing debt is so important and I'd urge anyone who is struggling to get in touch with the Antioch team at Colwyn Bay to find out exactly what help is available."
Antioch offer drop in sessions on Monday evenings from 7.30pm until 9pm and Thursday afternoon sessions by appointment from 2.30pm until 4pm.
