Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has welcomed the roll-out of the Superfast Cymru project in rural Denbighshire.
Superfast Cymru, a partnership between the Welsh Government and BT, builds on commercial roll-outs of fibre broadband in the country with the Welsh Government’s aim being that 96 per cent of homes and businesses will have access to fibre broadband by 2016.
Darren spent time this week with the BT/Openreach team who are delivering the project in the area and was told of the benefits it will bring.
He said:
"I am delighted that homes and businesses in rural Denbighshire will be able to enjoy the benefits that faster broadband can bring. More than ever, high speed communications are crucial in the fast-moving and changing world that we work and live in. Homeowners in Denbighshire will be able to get speeds of up to 80MB per second once the scheme is fully rolled out.”
Customers can find out if they can access Superfast Cymru by checking their postcode on the following website: http://www.superfast-cymru.com
