Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has cut the sod for a new, multi-million pound medical centre in Colwyn Bay.
The new facility is being developed on the site of the former Conway Road Primary School and will serve Patients who are currently registered with Rysseldene Surgery, on Conway Road, and Rhoslan Surgery, on Pwllycrochan Avenue
Darren said:
“It’s been a very long time coming, but finally work is underway on this multi-million pound project which will provide thousands of patients in the Colwyn Bay area with a modern primary care facility which is fit for the 21st century.
“There was a great deal of disappointment when Conway Road Infants School closed it’s doors to pupils in 2011, so its great to see the site coming back into public use in this way.
“I look forward to seeing the site transformed in the coming months.”
The contract is being delivered by North Wales based RL Davies and the building is being developed in partnership with Haven Healthcare.
